Who we are

Find A Roofer (“we”, “us”) is a lead-referral service that matches Greater Sydney homeowners with licensed local roofing professionals.

For any privacy enquiries, contact us at hello@findaroofer.com.au.

What information we collect

When you use our quote form, we collect:

• Your name (optional)
• Your mobile phone number
• Your postcode
• Details about the roofing job you need

We may also collect technical information such as URL parameters (e.g. UTM campaign tags) to understand how you found us, so we can improve our advertising.

How we use your information

Your information is used solely to match you with one licensed local roofer who will contact you directly by SMS to arrange a free on-site inspection.

We do not:

• Sell your information to third parties
• Add you to mailing lists or marketing databases
• Share your details with more than one roofer per enquiry
• Contact you ourselves for marketing purposes

Who we share your information with

We share your name, phone number, postcode, and job details with a single matched NSW Fair Trading licensed roofing professional in our network who services your area. That roofer will contact you by SMS to confirm your free inspection time.

We also share usage data (such as the pages you view and whether you submitted the quote form) with Google, through Google Analytics, so we can see how the site is used. When we run ads on Facebook or Instagram, we may share the same kind of usage data with Meta, through the Meta pixel, to measure how those ads perform. This usage data does not include your name or phone number.

How we store your data

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a managed database platform with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We retain your enquiry data for the minimum period necessary to fulfil the service and comply with any legal obligations.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@findaroofer.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure visits to this site and quote form submissions. It sets two first-party cookies, _ga and _ga_S7XF8TTLJK, which Google says last up to 2 years.

When we run ads on Facebook or Instagram, we may also use the Meta pixel to measure how those ads perform. Meta sets its own cookies to do this.

We also use session storage (not a cookie) to remember how you found us during a single browser session.

To opt out of Google Analytics, install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated date.
